A trip to Corpus Christi in 1997

When I was about 11, I went down to my aunts house in rockport tx to spend the summer with her.  Fortunately, the tracks were not too far away from her house so we frequented the tracks alot.  Unfortunately, this is a very slow branch from Gregory to Aransas Pass.  Back when I visited, the Degusa Carbon Black plant was still in full operation. Here are some pictures from my trip.

Recently, I discovered that the 1617 was working in DFW area, however it is now UPY 617.  See link below.
