Central Texas Railfanning--Hill Country and Austin Tx 21 Jan 2012

Well my last railfan trip before i head to the sandbox turned out to be awesome.  Was planning to go to see Amtrak in San antonio but that bit the dust so this was the next best thing.  Kids had a blast so here we go with out further abdo::
After waiting in Bertram for a bit, finally arrived and blasted thru town.

After shooting the Flyer, I got word that the Austin Western RR was in area so I headed south toward Marble Falls. 

After searching for an hour, I found him in fairland, tx switching a quarry,. 
Good ole Robert Currie at the throttle. 
Former BNSF sd40-2s.  If anyone has origins, Ill gladly add info.
X CNW gp50 with gong nose bell still in use.

I head to Summit for my last couple shots of the train.  He is to tie down into the RIP track for the passenger train to pass by.
